I've decided we won't be using the Wordpress tag system for what it's designed to do.
So instead if you all want we can use it to tag Posts instead. The system will only recognize one tag per post (if there is more than one others will be ignored)
Effectively this will replace Tony's old category system, so in the future we can file posts under more than one category (as we have been doing / will do to old posts someday as well)
Tags should be game or topic specific. I will hack something textual together when I can get around to it. But I have no idea what to do in terms of graphics -- if we choose to do anything at all. I do know for certain we won't be using the page avatars as news tags too.
Tag graphics will have to be small. But we could use hires graphics and have them automatically resized based on the browsers text size (just keep in mind what they'll look like resized)
My intuition is no portals, no banner like stick ons, and no cropped images. That doesn't leave a whole lot of breathing room. I have a feeling the tags can't float to one side without breaking the text justification, but I'd have to try that out to be sure. If it is safe that will give us more freedom. We don't have a lot of headline space so most likely the headline text will go over the tag if need be (so make sure it will be readible -- once I widen the site a bit the chances of that happening for most users would be less -- this implies tags will be in the top right corner)

Below is a preview of what a news tag might look like...
Of course it should be a P3 character and the image is just halved here. I don't know what is the right width, but Firefox style browsers are apparently nazis now when it comes to floating elements, and there was no way I could force the headline to overlap the graphic. It's ok for the headline to be a little shorter than the column, but I think it's best any tag graphics be tall and skinny as our space is already low. Actually on second thought it is probably more natural this way as technically it reduces the starting column width as well.
At any rate, if you don't like this look say so. If you do stat finding tag graphics for us.

For a second that tag took over the Persona 3 category (the tag/category system apparently overlap to a large degree)
Fortunately I was able to get the Persona3 category back (it appeared to be missing before)
I changed the tag name to P3 originally for stylistic purposes. But it appears we'll have to stick to this trend for technical purposes as well. This is also probably a security risk in Wordpress as Contributors can make tags but not categories. So please don't try to make tags on your own 
edited: Also now the P3 on the bottom of the above screenshot does not appear. This is fortunate as I did not like the tags being listed as categories in the first place

I'm not sure tag graphics are really necessary. Images will probably be applied to most posts anyway so they probably don't even need to be there.

They give the otherwise white page more character, and they were there on Tony's site. They also give a visual indicator of the basis of the article (generally what game it's related to)
I've just setup the infrastructure so no one has a right to complain. If anyone wants them they will have to produce the graphics. Personally I think they'd work well enough this way, but I'm not going to bother myself with graphic prep/hunts.
I'll add graphics one at a time as they come though we should probably decide on a fixed width first. I'll also make a list of tags and what graphics I'd like to see personally when I can get around to it. We can also randomize the graphics so three P3 posts in a row would feature a different P3 character each time (note they wouldn't change when the page is loaded, just if another P3 post is added to the same page)
PS: They'd also fill up a lot of white space in your posts Ry.

The only reason the images in my posts aren't center aligned is because the Word press doesn't like it for some reason, hence the white space. It appears to work fine on Tony's posts for some reason though, so I'm probably doing something wrong.
I don't know it just seems more trouble than it's worth really.

They look better on the left. Not always but in the posts you've made so far.
Center only looks good when there is text above/below and there is only one image on display.
To center maybe try <img class="centeralign">
