Just curious as there is quite a bit of trash in the digitalize area.

I cleaned it up earlier.

I don't get to spend as much time on here as I'd like. Or even should. Not that it's terribly busy here. I suppose the two go hand in hand, however.

I've not had time for this or the main forum lately, unfortunately. I've had two different computer related jobs, so combining that with my general life kind of puts websites to the wayside.

I'm hoping that given what's going on currently that I'll be able to give my full attention to the site in the next week or so. There's a lot I want to do with the main site in particular.

Of course, if anyone here feels there's anything they'd like to help with, I sure won't refuse it lol :smug:

No, not at all. There were four threads of it... I wish there was some better way to keep these bots from registering. Oddly, they can get by the image verification and the e-mail confirmation now.

I've worked with websites and forums on and off over the years. I think this is a nice set of forums. I kind of like it slower. I offer my assistance with anything relating to the forums or website, if you need the help. I have the time to do stuff when I'm not working usually.

I think we may have to request pics for security purposes Cammy. ;)

I'd be happy to take you up on the offer. Obviously the place is slow enough that it's not going to kill your free time.

I actually am starting a new job in two weeks with way more freedom (work at home,  set my own hours... and yes, it's a real job), so I'm hoping my involvement will increase very soon. There's some small things I'd like to try to do to try and boost up post amounts here. I'm the first to admit that my approach to this forum has been, well, lazy. Originally, Argilla (the girl responsible for Yosuga, a DDS site) wanted me to put this up, but I've not even seen her on here in quite some time.

I'll PM you about it later on if you're still interested.

Definately still interested. But I will warn you, I will be less available starting in the beginning of May, as I will be starting full-time, seasonal work. I won't be totally gone, just not around during the day *oh noes!* lol

So how is Final Fantasy XII, Kaki? I'm hearing good things. Considering getting it finally.

I don't know where to start Cam, but I will try to keep it short. I am a huge fan of Yasumi Matsuno and the former Quest team members -- Vagrant Story being one of my favorite, if not my favorite game.  I was expecting a lot from FF XII because of this, and for me, it delivered.  Great battle system, cool VA (usually I hate English VA, but for this, I couldn't wait to hear what was next), amazing graphics engine, I really liked all of the characters...yes even Vaan, cool story and writing, a ton of sidequests, a ton of VS referrences.... I could go on and on. I loved it.   I don't know if it is for everyone, but to me, it is easily the best FF.

Hey, Vagrant Story was a top game for me, so it all sounds good. I'll have to see for myself now!

Not quite. I still check around, just haven't been too talkey, I guess. But it could happen. I might be gone come summer to do field/greenhouse work. No internet in farm country... :(

Unfortunately, no. It's mostly just bots that are sent over here automatically and somehow even get past the image recognition software. I've banned a lot of their major domains, so it's decreasing, but it's hard to kill entirely. It picks up sometimes.

Hopefully we'll be able to keep it to a minimum.

Think of it as all those spam mails you get in your spambox. Sometimes it is impossible to keep out everything.

I don 't know about you guys, but I read spam as something else at first... :coleman:

They're not really worth posting about. One of us gets rid of it when we can and they're always in the same forum for some reason lol.

If you want to report it, there's a (http://www.digitaldevildb.com/bbs/ddd/images/buttons/report.gif) button that helps a lot... that way I get e-mailed about the post right away.

Yeah, try to just message myself or another mod about it. I get rid of them as soon as I see them, and I check often.

Well, beyond all of that, I thought it was worth mentioning that I changed the registration requirements. Bots were constantly getting past the image verification stuff, so I installed a plug-in that requires users to answer ridiculously simple questions. Since then not one bot has registered, although a few real people have... so that's one less thing to worry about.
