Why would I need two forums that are the same and subject to the same nonsensical posts? You don't have to keep telling me how rigid this place is and how it "isn't for you" to prove something to me. No one is forcing you to post here.

With MegaTen games (SMT, Persona, etc.) at what age would players generally  be to be able to:

(a) Enjoy the gameplay. (Battle difficulty, old-school interface-gameplay, etc.)

(b) Appreciate the more mature themes and ideas posed.

That is kind of a though set of questions. I worked at a video game retailer for quite a few years, and never could quite figure out peoples' tastes.  I pushed people hard to check out Nocturne when I worked at GS and I was able to turn a few on to it. But it was odd,....I assumed people who liked Shadow Hearts, would possibly dig SMT. I don't think that was too accurate.

This also brings up a kind of off shoot question that I have thought of since SMT titles have been coming to North America with more frequency. I am not sure that some of these newer SMT titles appeal to me as much as the older ones. It feels like there was a zenith at Nocturne and the other games have lacked since. I kind of relate this to Okada's departure. I also wonder if this is due to my age and when I was first exposed to SMT.

Yes, I agree completely. I do have some friends who really enjoyed Shadow Hearts, but I have never thought of doing that. I'll talk them during lunch. :updown:

Well, we can always hope, right? But what I'm a bit worried about is that while the Japanese and American markets are blooming with the SMT-fever, Europe never gets a part of the big cake. -_-

Ghostlight's been doing what they can for Europe, but I can definitely see how they're being shafted. DDS2 has been like impossible to find here for months and I'm not sure if it's even released in Europe yet.

Nope and apologies for the misunderstanding Devilry. I  believe you do have good morals. But to me one's choices of having an "open sexuality"  doesn't way merits of good and evil. It is just one of those neutral choices sort of like being a taco fan instead of a spaghetti fan. Aka some people like sexually open relationships,some don't either way that doesn't measure them  as better or worse.

"Men without morals" doesn't include you. It includes guys that completely treat women like shit, beat on them, and mistreat them yet they have that odd magnetism that keeps chicks around in the false hope "they can be changed!"

My first megaten game was digital devil saga, and I've been hooked ever since. FF just seems so vanilla now.

Yeah once you play a megaten usually most other J-rpgs seem a bit "kiddy" to say the least. lol. I still haven't given up completely on square/enix, they "do" still crank out good rpgs however my excitement factor over the new final fantasy games is near non existent.

I am currently playing Devil Summoner even though I have two other SMT games which I need to play and complete.
