Recently I was inspired to play Nocturne because of an anime called Soul Taker. It's pretty similar to a Megaten because of it's strikingly abstract visuals, quietly told plot, and religious references. Here is a link to a bit of the first episode.

Nah, I don't really see anything that makes me want to play a SMT game. I just play them when I feel like it, and seeing as I'm devoting my gaming time to play DDS2, that's basically what I do anyway. It is a good rpg gaming universe that is easy to get engrossed in. Since I'm Buddhist and have an interest in Hindu and Pagan myths my spiritual curiousity likely drew me to the series. Also White Wolf's serious take on table-top rpgs helped. Like the Megaten universe it burrowed alot from real religion and mythology. Of course now White Wolf has become a bit coperate and simply bucks popular trends.

Another thing is to look the demons that you engage, because they are gods or godesses of mythology, and the art is pretty cool.
