It could be an in-between thing, or a side story that leads into P4.

This is soo excited!!! I sorta speculated there might be an anime coming with Persona 3 but never in my wildest dreams thought it would be for realsies.

I tried to decipher as much of the online translation I could from the site. It unveils some character information and some other things. Anyone feel free to let me know if I am incorrect about anything there. I wasn't really able to make out a lot of it, particularly the last paragraph.

Sounds like this was the intention from the start. Persona 3 definitely felt more like a mediocre, cliché anime series than an actual Persona game.

It seems Atlus is succumbing to Squaresoft syndrome.

This along with the mobile P3 game, does remind me of Square's FF Compilations. >_>

Yeah, I got some help translating some of that the other day. It's on our front page, the last new names are:

• Megumi Tino (Chino, maybe?) will be voiced by Kana Asumi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kana_Asumi), a female singer and seiyū who has appeared in anime such as Bokurano.

• Kanou Marimoto will be voiced by Mai Nakahara, a female seiyū who has done work for both anime and games including .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet.

And yeah, they really expanded the site in the last few days. I was surprised. I'll have to gather some of the info together, although it's seeming more and more worth having its own section entirely.

They're adding stuff to this constantly. I missed it before when I went there earlier... I went to special, but Firefox seems to hate it because the site calls an ActiveX control to display some portions of that section.

Anyway, thanks for pointing this out :). I put up something on the front page about it. Looks like it might actually be halfway decent, at least in terms of animation quality. Admittedly some of the 3D CG aspects of it are slightly jarring in a that's-just-too-obvious kind of way, but it's easy to get over.

This is also pretty random, but I really like the Aniplex logo animation. I guess I don't watch enough anime (read "none") to be acquainted with it lol.

I agree....I really liked those.

Apparently you've never played any games besides Persona 3.

Even though they never really explained why the evoker was necessary in the games and left the interpretation of it to the players, it was really stylish and does help the Persona series stand out a bit from the millions of other monster summoning RPGs.

Tony, for some reason the trailer download doesn't work for me at all, when I tried playing it with Windows Media Player, it wanted me to download a license thing. Doesn't work with Zplayer or VLC player either...

Yeah, I'm not sure what the issue is then. I've not had an issue playing it in anything. Perhaps you need to update Windows Media Player?

Edit - You're right, it must have to do with the fact that I recorded it. I'll see about fixing that.

Hmm, I'd recommend trying VLC player, because your problem could be codecs, and with VLC player, you don't need to worry about them.

He tried that earlier, it'll just come back garbled. Apparently when downloading the stream, the method I used doesn't strip any licenses. Atlus owns the video in this sense.

I put up a new version. Please let me know if this doesn't play for you, but I tested it elsewhere and it seemed to be good to set. The links are the same, the files were just replaced.

If anyone needs it, I got the "uber-duper pimped codec-ed" version of Classic Windows Media player.  Even if a file is corrupt to the max and causes everything to crash, this beauty will keep running it.

I don´t know how long have they been over there, but there are 4 new characters on the Persona Trinity Soul web.

I'm watching the raw right now, I thought the opening sucked and it was generally pretty boring until near the end (cause I don't understand Japanese).

[SPOILER]Some guy with a Persona is going around "devouring" other peoples' Persona causing that inside out body thing. They don't use evokers anymore, going with the classic style (the main character pointed to the sky at the end). What surprised me most though was that Igor showed up near the end and spoke to the middle brother, no Elizabeth though. The only things that linked the anime with the game so far, are the Mitsuru look alike in the beginning of the episode and the drugs (suppressants) that the Persona Devourer was taking before he lost control of his Persona[/SPOILER]

Watched two episodes so far...eh,it's really starting off slow..but it's expected.

They're making it really interesting so far though, with the Apathy Syndrome, Split-personality Brother, Persona Suppressant Strega drugs, and the voice that sounds like Akihiko and is voiced by Akihiko's voice actor.

I sorta like how its been starting off quite ambiguous, there are quite a few questions that can be answered.

For example, not only do you know that the anime takes place 10 years after Persona 3, but the characters constantly reference that time, as if something very important happened in their lives. Perhaps there is some connection to the comatose state of P3's protagonist and/or the demise of Nyx.

Just watched Episode 3 RAW

[SPOILER]The one Blonde Guy got owned in Episode 3, serves him right for trying to drug a girl and Shadow Strip her. The one group of people going around shadow stripping people, ambush Ryo and Shin separately near the end, Ryo kicks the guy with the beanie's ass, and Shin manages to disable one of his attackers.[/SPOILER]

I hope I ain't the only one noticing...but its already up to Episode 3...and the pace hasn't exactly picked up in the slightest bit... =/

Kind of a disappointment from the Chavalier team...

The 4th episode was so slow.

I don't mind it so far, I watched an Anime called Scrapped Princess that started out REALLY slow--but it picked up big time in the end and I have confidence Trinity Soul will do the same.

If it doesn't, it's not the end of the world or anything!

Episode 5 was epic, I've regained my interest in this anime.

No lasers and no bufu, agi, and zio, but lots of sword vs lance fighting, very nice animation.

[SPOILER]The afro guy can't control his Persona yet, but Shin has mastered the summoning near the end. Also some shady dudes in suits with a weird looking machine connected to Persona users.

Yeah,that's how I see it too.It's like they threw in Aki just to "pick up" the series with how it's going,atleast from what I've been hearing. Don't get me wrong,pretty sure Aki showing up was going to happen sooner or later,especially with his voice being heard from the earlier episodes.

To me,even if you threw in other P3 characters...the question is,can the series continue to hold the  audience's attention with or without cameo appearances?

It kind of makes sense why Akihiko showed up, Ryo the main guy taking care of the city went missing and instead of introducing a new character, the TS team decided to have him show up.

I know the story is boring so far and the characters are bland but they could just do something to make the character's more interesting or show a little darkside to them. As far as cameos even go at this rate not even a appearance from philemon or minato himself could keep my attention on this anime.

It's basically an event and it was held back in August,if you went to that event,you get all that sweet stuff..including that poster with main characters on it.I'm not seeing anything else with a release date information on there,just how much they are and what they are.

Oh and the person who buys or reserves the cd will get a postcard,which is that very last image at the bottom.
