I thought about adding this to the "Obscure MT Merch" thread, but it's not actually available yet ^^;
The first season of Devil Children, (aka Debichiru, Devichil, or Demikids), based on the Red & Black series of games on the Game Boy Colour, is going to be released on DVD next year. Box 1 will contain episodes 1-25, and will be out on January 25th, 2008. Box 2 with the rest of the series, episodes 26-50, will be out May 30th, 2008.
Each set is retailing for about 26,000-27,000 yen, (you can get a discount if you pre-order them though, I think.)

Nope, the Demikids episode I had uploaded, (you can still watch PART 1 (http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/NagaFanatic/video/x1i33r_smt-demikids-episode-01-part-1) and PART 2 (http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/NagaFanatic/video/x1i36x_smt-demikids-episode-01-part-2) of episode 1 on dailymotion, I haven't deleted it! XD) is from the second season, which focussed on the story from the Light and Dark games for the game boy advance.
Sadly, I don't think any fan-subbing work has been done on the first series. The series' first season is (was?), liscensed by the same company that liscensed Monster Rancher among other popular seemingly pokemon-like shows at the time it was created; I don't think it caught on though, since it's never been english dubbed x.x Here's a couple links to the company site: HERE (http://www.tms-e.co.jp/english/titles5.html)'s a list of some shows with short summaries, including Demikids, and HERE (http://www.tms-e.co.jp/english/aa/20.html)'s a more elaborate summary of Demikids, (the movie preview doesn't seem to work for me though.)

Back on topic, I recently acquired the CD single of the first Intro/Outro from Devil Children, so I thought I'd share it with you all (http://www.badongo.com/file/5233693). Comes with the full (not TV size) versions of both songs as well as the karaoke versions, (the actual CD is so small, only half the size of a regular one! X3) Don't know how long until the link decides to implode, so get it while you can~ I really like the intro song "Go-Round", it's catchy. The outro song is sort of "meh", but for me it seems anime outro songs in general are more boring than the intros.
And, just for kicks, a few screenshots from the anime (or, an excuse to post Jack Frost pictures XD)

And yup, it does look like the ssu-ling in the 2nd picture. They go by their Japanese names in the games I've played. I also can't believe how many Jack Frost-like demons there are in the Devil Children series, they even come in different flavours o.O (seriously, strawberry frost anyone? XD)

Jokes aside, I wonder if anyone would be interested in me uploading scans of some of the devil children cards? When I get a chance of course ^^; I managed to find them to buy, some have really awesome art, like Oorochi. Though I'm still trying to find someone selling cards from the goumaden set with the super special awesome shiny Lucifer card XD (I will find it! somewhere! X3)

Do you mean from the card game? I have quite a bit of those as well... I would be interested in seeing how many we'd have if we combined our collections.

Yup, I've got cards from 2 sets of the older series, maohfuin and a "special" set, (the tcg based off red & black, not light & dark.) I'll see when I can weasel in some time to scan them up :3 I've even got a shiney Azel/Azrael(?) card, its pretty awesome. You can see the card lists and stuff on the tcg website, though there aren't pictures of every card there. It's split into the NEW (http://www.megatencard.com/) and OLD (http://www.megatencard.com/index_old.html) sets.

I'm not so much a fan of anime myself, so I'm not quite sure about this, but I suppose this is in Japanese only? Or do most animes come with English subtitles or something?

I believe since it's a release in Japan, it only come with Japanese subtitles, not English, (I was recently interested in getting some Japanese version Godzilla DVDs, but I discovered that there are no English subtitles, so I went looking for the local versions ^^; ) Took a poke around the sites but didn't see anything about the DVDs having subs of any kind.
Also, there seems to be a mug as part of the pre-order promotion as well I think:

Jessicat, random question since I've been considering tracking down and seeing all the Megaten on video that I can (lacking only 3 series thus far) and you just answered half of my biggest question with the info on the first Devil Children series.

Do you (or anyone) know if Light & Dark has been released on DVD in Japan? I can find the live-action Devil Summoner and now know why I couldn't come across the 2nd half of the first DC, but any info on Light & Dark (other than the sole fansubbed episode) is scare.

I think I've only seen a couple VHS movies floating around on Yahoo Japan of the Light & Dark Devil Children series, haven't seen anything about that series coming to DVD (yet).
