Title: Countdown Post by: aerozero on February 18, 2008, 01:45:07 PM If you check Atlus's official site, you'll see that they just put up a countdown timer, similar to the one in the opening of Persona 3.
There's a 99% chance that this is a countdown to the announcement of FES. Thought some of you might be interested. Title: Re: Countdown Post by: MasterofStrings on February 18, 2008, 01:47:05 PM Yeah saw that posted on the GameFAQs boards. If it were for FES that would be awesome.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Claudio on February 18, 2008, 03:52:16 PM It seems like the Persona 3 Countdown in the opening, but if is FES i only hope that on 29 Febraury Persona 3 FES will be realesed in Italy( I thought until now that it will be normal Persona 3)because all the atlus game released here are in english so there is only the 60 - 50 HZ problem to solve...
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Emilio Morales on February 18, 2008, 10:17:59 PM Let´s hope it´s for FES!! I want that game so badly!!
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: traci on February 19, 2008, 03:30:08 PM that's so cool. Although as much as I would like to see FES released here I don't think I would play it - I haven't got a lot of time and Im so far behind on my gaming.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Enid on February 19, 2008, 06:00:18 PM I hope it is FES...be pretty stupid and a waste to use the countdown from the P3 opening if turned out not to be FES.

Whatever it is, I hope it has nothing to do with the Nintendo Wii.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Danny on February 21, 2008, 04:10:18 PM Atlus USA is a game publisher only, so I don't see why they would advertise Trinity Soul on their website and others with such a big dramatic countdown.
If it was a game for the Wii or any other console, Atlus Japan would have already anounced it as they are the developers. That only leaves us with FES!!!:star: I hope so... O_O You got a good point in there!! Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Camanche on February 24, 2008, 09:51:24 AM What a pleasant surprise! I haven't played this game at all, so to play the FES version would be awesome! :)
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: QBasic on February 24, 2008, 05:07:02 PM (http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg106/hardwork_genius/pesona3fes.jpg)
The release date is set for 4/22/08. Which is bullshit from my perspective, since I was planning on buying The World Ends With You on the same day. Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Enid on February 24, 2008, 09:01:12 PM Hm...not too far away, hopefully I will be done with Crisis Core by then.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: QBasic on February 24, 2008, 11:49:52 PM You'll be done with Crisis Core in a day.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: aerozero on February 25, 2008, 12:39:04 AM Crisis Core was pretty average...but I'm willing to give it another chance in English.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Emilio Morales on February 25, 2008, 07:03:25 AM The countdown is over and there`s just the date and time?? What`s whit that?
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Claudio on February 25, 2008, 08:10:40 AM Yup emilio i don't understand at all....
Are we supposed to wait the newsletter? Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Emilio Morales on February 25, 2008, 09:07:55 AM FINALLY!!!! I have just receive an e-mail from ATLUS that shows the release date of Persona 3 FES, that´s totally awesome!! :) Now we just need to wait until April 22 ;)
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Enid on February 25, 2008, 10:14:41 AM http://www.atlus.com/newsdetail.php?newsID=236
For some of us that aren't subscribed or didn't get an e-mail: "Experience the definitive cut of 2007s award-winning Persona 3, which garnered tons of critical acclaim and the adulation of a devoted fanbase. Packaged together with a brand new episode, the set provides 120-plus hours of gameplay at a suggested retail price of $29.99. Lead a group of high school students with a dangerous extracurricular activity: exploring the mysterious tower Tartarus and fighting the sinister Shadows during the Dark Hour, a frozen span of time imperceptible to all but a select few. And the end of their quest is no longer the end of the story--witness for the first time the aftermath of the final battle and the students struggle to find meaning in their new lives. Available April 22, 2008." Quote from: QBasic;6897 You'll be done with Crisis Core in a day. Oh,well that's fine by me then.I mean, already know how it ends either way... Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Claudio on February 25, 2008, 02:48:02 PM Do you think that the game(fes) will be cheaper to buy and ship to europe than buy it in the normal version ( 60 euros)
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: aerozero on February 25, 2008, 03:08:47 PM Yeah, it'll be cheaper to import FES, since you're getting only the original P3 with no artbook or soundtrack in Europe for the full price.
Atlus really does listen to their fans, it's a shame SE didn't give us Final Mix or any of the international editions of the FFs Title: Re: Countdown Post by: QBasic on February 25, 2008, 03:20:37 PM Quote from: aerozero;6917 Yeah, it'll be cheaper to import FES, since you're getting only the original P3 with no artbook or soundtrack in Europe for the full price. Atlus really does listen to their fans, it's a shame SE didn't give us Final Mix or any of the international editions of the FFs In fact we do. Every time an SE game is localized in Europe or US, it gets additional content that Jap version didn't get. The only exception to this is Final Mix+. Title: Re: Countdown Post by: aerozero on February 25, 2008, 04:21:55 PM I forgot about VII and Star Ocean 3, but we didn't get FFX international though or FFXII international.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Danny on February 25, 2008, 04:43:37 PM Or the best International version, Final Fantasy X-2:International+Last Mission.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: QBasic on February 25, 2008, 05:36:00 PM Quote from: aerozero;6922 I forgot about VII and Star Ocean 3, but we didn't get FFX international though or FFXII international. Did you even read what I said? We DID get them. OUR versions ARE the International. If any differences, its just small ones, like XII's job system, or the Dark Aeons in X. In fact...Europe got the full International treatment, Dark Aeons and all... Title: Re: Countdown Post by: MasterofStrings on February 25, 2008, 06:22:15 PM ANNNOUNCEMENT WAS FES! Hits US shores in April.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: traci on February 25, 2008, 07:46:37 PM Just in time for my birthday...on the 28th... hint, hint.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: QBasic on February 25, 2008, 09:37:16 PM This is downright depressing. FES got announced, and the site ain't even back up fully. And its been months...
Epic phail. Title: Re: Countdown Post by: traci on February 28, 2008, 11:18:42 PM Ok so I'm confused is the Aegis Episode a stand alone game?
And FES also makes the normal game longer/adds a new social link? And a different ending- what else am I missing? Or rather what have I messed up in what I know of FES to be? Title: Re: Countdown Post by: MasterofStrings on February 28, 2008, 11:29:15 PM Episode Aigis is a continuation of Episode Yourself(regular P3). Except
you play as Aigis seeing as the main character is dead.
They added Aigis in as a social link and Elizabeth is dateable(kinda). And they added a good 23-24 personae. Changeable costumes(i.e. High cut Armor). And weapon fusion. Don't think I forgot anything... Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Enid on February 29, 2008, 01:31:08 AM Yeah...Master of Strings pretty much covered everything.
Oh..there are some added scenes not in the original...like taking Koromaru out for walkies. Here is the difference between the two: http://www.playmagazine.com/index.php?fuseaction=SiteMain.showGamePage&Game_ID=736 Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Thanatos on February 29, 2008, 03:08:50 PM Excellent..I can't wait! Good price too.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Emilio Morales on February 29, 2008, 03:27:17 PM This is a good opportunity for those who haven´t bought Persona 3. Not only they´re going to buy Persona 3 with all the new additions and for a good price.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: MasterofStrings on February 29, 2008, 05:13:32 PM Yeah, a near $10 difference between what I bought P3 for and what FES is being sold for. But, I'm glad I got it when I did.
Title: Re: Countdown Post by: Emilio Morales on February 29, 2008, 05:19:19 PM Quote from: MasterofStrings;6946 I'm glad I got it when I did. Me too!! But, I'm glad I got it when I did. Very much agreed. I even got the special edition for some reason, despite it being my first game of the series. I'm so thankful to my friend for ranting me into this. |
