Title: Re: Please help me test something? Post by: yksehtniycul on September 15, 2008, 02:15:18 PM A friend in Germany can't access files on that server. I'm just trying to figure out what the hell is up / if anyone else in the world can't (it is a national ISP provided host space -- possibly operated by Google, so this is weird)

Though I'm not sure if this is the case. Other factors include: Is he firewalled? Is he Proxied (Is this Google thing a proxy)? Does he have Peerguardian or something that blocks connections? Is he proxied without knowing (I remember once IE turned on proxy for some odd reason) Title: Re: Please help me test something? Post by: yksehtniycul on September 20, 2008, 02:10:09 PM Yeah, I've kinda gone over these things. None seems too likely. Part of the net being inaccessible (crucial router down) might be a reason as well.
Just seems odd. I kinda wondered if the host might be blocking international access, just because international laws are non-standardized. |
