Persona 4 has been released in Japan. The new addition to the series takes place in the rural town of Inaba where unsolved murders have been taking place on the foggy days after heavy rains. Rumors circulate the community about a mysterious television station that airs only at midnight called "Mayonaka TV," where one is supposedly able to see a broadcast of their shadow-self. Persona 4 brings back many of the gameplay elements of the previous incarnation of the series, blending glossy anime sequences with slick, cartoonish graphics. There are some minor tweaks to the gameplay as well as other presentational changes. For instance, the suicidal Evokers from Persona 3 & FES have been replaced by the use Tarot cards, and the Velvet Room is now located inside a limousine. Gameplay-wise there are now 5 stats instead of the previous 3 and Other party members can now take direct orders as well. By and large Persona 4 retains many of the features from 3 and FES, such as the Commu (Social) Links, "One More," and "All-out Attack," while offering plenty of new content for those still itching for more after Persona 3. Atlus USA has announced that a North American release is planned for December 9th, 2008 and is slated to be packaged complete with a soundtrack CD and "Visual Data" art book companion. Price: 7300¥ EDIT: This should be retro-posted to July 10th. Not sure how to do that slimbox business, but here's a higher res version of the cover. Technically I don't think there should be any distinguishment.
A larger question will be finding a way to make sure people who want to can see new retro news (especially if it's dated far back) because it will be immediately buried in the timeline. I'm going to make a sticky thread in the meantime where all retro news should be registered in the order it's posted... Title: Re: RETRO-NEWS: Persona 4 Released in Japan Post by: yksehtniycul on October 17, 2008, 09:06:22 PM Not sure how to do that slimbox business, but here's a higher res version of the cover. (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/90/Persona_4_-_Japanese_Boxart.JPG) It's time you figured it out: Tip #1 To add a gallery to your post use the following HTML syntax: Code: <a href="http://www.website.com/your_high_resolution_gallery_url.jpg" The rel="lightbox[8.1.2008]" portion should cage your images in their own gallery. The number used is the date of the post. If there is more than one post per day and yours is a later post, please extend that number with the time of day or whatever. Be careful not to leave spaces between your HTML elements, because Wordpress is likely to interpret them oddly (normal HTML ignores most white space, Wordpress tries to be all intuitive and stuff) I'll work on giving contributors upload privileges, but in the mean time just use whatever image links you have. Title: Re: RETRO-NEWS: Persona 4 Released in Japan Post by: DevilRy on October 17, 2008, 09:41:36 PM Fixed. For some reason it was just showing as HTML in the preview window so I figured it was something I didn't have permission to do.
Title: Re: NEWS: Persona 4 Released in Japan Post by: Emilio Morales on January 12, 2009, 10:45:38 AM NEWS: Lanzamiento de Persona 4 en Japón (Spanish)
Precio: 7300¥ |
