Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Lucifer figure is really huge, right? I remember I saw an image where some dude was holding that figure with both hands and it was really big. :eek:

We will have this site's RSS send out in different languages soon if it isn't already. If you can figure out how to do locales your headlines would change on our website depending on if it is viewed in English or Chinese (if you ever wanna help us translate the site into Chinese like Emilio is doing for Spanish please don't hesitate to volunteer -- I can also set everything up for Chinese pretty easily, so anyone who wants to could help a little at a time) We don't mind having the different languages in our feeds, so don't worry about it unless you want to :rainbow: If you'd like to help contribute you can even write new figurine pages for the website. It's just like blogging :biggrin: I'll try to get these up one way or another just as soon as possible regardless :smokin: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on January 19, 2009, 03:45:06 PM Btw, if someone can get all these images in a single zip file and put it where I can download it, it would speed things up :smokin:
Please let someone else do that Seraphpiyo unless that is easy for you to do :sweatdrop: BTW: I recently found out I can wget files from the website (download them directly onto the website) which is quite nice. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on January 19, 2009, 03:50:51 PM Btw. what is your new avatar Seraphpiyo? Is that a closeup of some Beelzebub artwork, or am I way off :tongue:

I remember I saw an image where some dude was holding that figure with both hands and it was really big. :eek: About 15cm in height, I think. Lucifer is surely the biggest one among the series figures :biggrin: It is the Kotobukiya figures that turns me to play SMT games :tongue: Well most of your posts have your new devil sculpture's name in English already, so that is cool... but if you do know how to make your blog's RSS feed send out different titles based on locales that would be cool as well! Souless Army,(http://www.digitaldevildb.com/bbs/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=294;type=avatar) I downloaded them from another Chinese forum, and now just waiting if there's someone could provide demon icons in King Abaddon :biggrin: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: Emilio Morales on January 20, 2009, 09:22:54 AM Thanks for sharing the images! I setup that account back when we were trying to get a newsletter out to let everyone know the bbs was back etcetera. I've been thinking about using that address as the webmaster address etcetera, but I've too many email addresses to keep handy as it is :frown: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: Emilio Morales on January 20, 2009, 01:28:42 PM I've been thinking about using that address as the webmaster address etcetera, but I've too many email addresses to keep handy as it is :frown: Why don't you let somebody else handle it? I dunno, that seems like a security hole (assuming it would be shared) ...I'd have to think about it. But it doesn't seem like a big deal, because I can't think of much reason to need an email associated with the website at this time. In the meantime I can have it auto forward to anyone's address who wants it. But like I said, we're not using it for anything. If I setup a contact page with a public address, I'll probably use that one for now. Before doing anything major with email, I'd prefer we be able to use addresses like this_is_not_a_real_address@digitaldevildb.com. We could probably do that now, but I'd have to talk to Jose, and the current host is a "shared shared" host, so it's probably best to just not think about it for now :biggrin: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on January 25, 2009, 02:40:31 PM Did you ever try to send a zip file to www.digitaldevildb.com@gmail.com Seraphpiyo?
I received an automatic backup of the database today which was nearly 23MB, so I think there is no problem sending a larger file to gmail. offtopic: Btw, I don't think I can set that address to auto-forward because it looks like gmail only allows one auto-forward address :frown: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: seraphpiyo on January 25, 2009, 08:07:09 PM Did you ever try to send a zip file to www.digitaldevildb.com@gmail.com Seraphpiyo? I'm going to need a while to figure out what to do about these. In the meantime I'll just copy over the pages from the archives, then maybe you can make a comment in them to link to your online gallery :hearton:
Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on January 25, 2009, 08:45:18 PM Ok, there are two new pages:
http://www.digitaldevildb.com/collectibles/onecoin2005/ (Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series - Shin Megami Tensei - 2005) http://www.digitaldevildb.com/collectibles/onecoin2003/ (One Coin Figure Series - Digital Devil Realize - 2003) I don't know much of anything about this stuff :redface: But do your figurines cover both of these pages? Or just the 2005 page? Are both these pages about Kotobukiya figurines? Or just the one I guess is what I'd like to know... Either way, for now please make a comment on one or both pages linking to your online album (http://photo.xuite.net/metamalak/551183) And I will upload your images asap and try to work out how to fit them in. We would really appreciate it if you joined our WordPress blog and helped manage these pages :rainbow: You seem to know your way around this stuff :hearton: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on January 25, 2009, 09:02:44 PM Do you have more of Shiva?
Do you have a list of the figurines? That would be good info for the page. Btw, are these all your own photos? Are these considered rare/valuable collectibles? Or are they just small very cheap bin type things? I figure since they're called "one coin" you can buy them with just one coin :rainbow: But I'm not sure how valuable a coin can be in Japan. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on February 02, 2009, 03:26:55 AM I've only had time to upload Seraphpiyo's archive here:
http://www.digitaldevildb.com/images/misc/toys/Kotobukiya/ A url like below, will go to an image: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/images/misc/toys/Kotobukiya/Series6%20Pixy03.jpg The %20 can be a space. The up-to-date archive is here: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/images/misc/toys/Kotobukiya.zip Useful if you need to know the file names at least. This is all I can do on short notice for now. Anyone who would like to write up a page/post via WordPress is welcome and encouraged. You can just link to these images for now. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: seraphpiyo on February 06, 2009, 05:55:15 PM Do you have more of Shiva? I sent the rest of photos this morning(in my time zone :5innocent2:),Do you have a list of the figurines? That would be good info for the page. Btw, are these all your own photos? Are these considered rare/valuable collectibles? Or are they just small very cheap bin type things? I figure since they're called "one coin" you can buy them with just one coin :rainbow: But I'm not sure how valuable a coin can be in Japan. I took these pictures by myself, the figurines are my own collection. Hmm, the "One Coin" means 500 Japanese dollars(円) as a coin, maybe equivalent to US 5 dollars or so, I'm not sure. And here's the Kotobukiya official webpage: http://www.kotobukiya.co.jp/item/page/1c_megaten/index.shtml (http://www.kotobukiya.co.jp/item/page/1c_megaten/index.shtml) It includes all the series characters, maybe this could help. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on February 07, 2009, 06:14:12 AM Ah ok! Didn't know Japan had a 5USD coin (or abouts) ...the largest coin in real circulation in the states is only 0.25USD :doh:
I think coins are easier to counterfeit. So they have to cost more to produce than they're worth. Anywho, there are more photos uploaded now, and the new archive is: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/images/misc/toys/Kotobukiya.zip (no longer .rar) Notice the file extension changed, and thanks as always Seraphpiyo! Just hope we can do something with these sooner or later. I just have so much on my plate for now... we really need help from elsewhere, but I guess elsewhere is not all that so helpful :ninja: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: seraphpiyo on February 10, 2009, 11:54:02 PM Either way, for now please make a comment on one or both pages linking to your online album (http://photo.xuite.net/metamalak/551183) And I will upload your images asap and try to work out how to fit them in. I can do this, or anything I could help? :rainbow: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on February 11, 2009, 12:56:21 AM Well I was thinking you could add a link to your album to our pages by commenting on some of them like you had before :rainbow:
So for instance... if someone is reading this page: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/collectibles/onecoin2005/ They'll see the comment, and click on your album link! :wink: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: seraphpiyo on February 11, 2009, 05:06:18 AM Well I was thinking you could add a link to your album to our pages by commenting on some of them like you had before :rainbow: Hmm...so I just need to leave a reply on the page and add the link of my album? So for instance... if someone is reading this page: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/collectibles/onecoin2005/ They'll see the comment, and click on your album link! :wink: Hope that I'm follwing :sweatdrop: I think I'll move the photos to the album of my blog's system, I also put other SMT-related pictures: http://album.blog.yam.com/seraphpiyochan (http://album.blog.yam.com/seraphpiyochan) Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on February 11, 2009, 05:46:38 AM ^Yes, that was the idea I had, but it's up to you. We'd just like everyone to find the album until we can get the pictures up on the website for real :sweatdrop:

I think I MAY actually have you one upped though, I'll take some pictures tomorrow to post. I'm very upset that I haven't bought the set with Parvati and the clothesless angel, but I do have the figures of Chiaki and Isamu. I've been hunting pretty desperately for the figure of Hitoshura, despite its low quality in design. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on July 20, 2009, 01:49:19 PM We'll be waiting... don't wuss out :rainbow:
Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: Jessicat on July 20, 2009, 07:34:12 PM Oh, I have a few figures that aren't there in the gallery; Barong, [Great] Pascal, Varna, Cu Chulainn & Ganesha. Only problem is I don't have a very steady hand when taking pics XD But if it would be of interest I could nab my dad's digital cam and see if I can come up with anything usable ^^;
Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on July 21, 2009, 02:37:34 PM A tripod and remote can work miracles. Video output on a camera can be great too :cool:
Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: marto_motoko on July 21, 2009, 07:49:49 PM Aha, got it. O_o Now I just have to find the cable for my camera.
Mind you since I was using a crappy camera they aren't going to be the greatest of condition but... Here, I'll go look the cable now. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: marto_motoko on July 21, 2009, 10:10:25 PM Alright, here's the links. :( Sorry they aren't the best of quality, I tried to touch them up as best I could.
As for the Ghoul Party picture, it's all my excess figures. :fush: getting repeats in the sake of those was a flush of money down the toilet. Ganesh, Pazuzu, Poltergeist, Cu Chulainn (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/GhimenkhalaPazuzuPoltergeistCuChula.jpg) Ghoul and Goki, Naga Raja, Loki, Barong (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/GhoulnGokiNagaRajaLokiBarong.jpg)[nobbc] Lilim, Laksmi, Pixie, Mary, Vouivre (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/LilimLaksmiPixieMarieVouture.jpg)[nobbc] Thor, Sandman, Michael, Odin (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/ThorSandmanMichaelLoki.jpg) Pascal, Astaroth, Uriel (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/ShinMegamiTenseifigures003.jpg) Lucifer, Varna, Pyro Jack and Jack Frost, Beelzebub (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/LuciferVarnaJackBrosBeelzebub.jpg) Matador, Chiaki, Isamu, Metatron, Alice (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/MatadorChiakiIsamuMetatronAlice.jpg) And of course, my Ghoul Party! :D (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/marto_motoko/GhoulParty.jpg) And then I also have one other Megaten figure, it's the Misato figure that came with the P3 radio-drama disc. That makes 19, not counting repeats (the Ghoul Party), and the Misato figure. With the repeats and the Misato, that puts me at 35. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: marto_motoko on July 21, 2009, 10:39:33 PM Put all of your urls inside [nobbc]()[nobbc] tags please :biggrin: There we go, all set. :) So there, I didn't wuss out. :tongue: Still, the thing you do completely whip my butt on though is presentation! O_O Mine is nowhere as neatly composed or photographed, but hey, there's a quick twenty minute snap-shot-job. Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on July 22, 2009, 12:13:24 AM Oh man, sorry, forgot to close the second nobbc tag (those just make it so I could type the img tags normally but ended up totally changing the meaning of my last post^)
Anyway, maybe you already had them posted as images but they were just showing up as urls to me?? Anyway, if you did actually put your stuff in nobbc (i can see some in your post) tags, it would not work right... again sorry sorry Vouivre. PS: What is "Vouivre" from??? Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: yksehtniycul on July 22, 2009, 12:15:45 AM PPS: What is "Great Pascal" from?? I thought that design was just old concept art that was never used???
Edited: Please tell me the Gaki have well defined genitalia :aroused: Title: Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos Post by: marto_motoko on July 22, 2009, 12:24:00 AM Hahahah, I can concur that the gaki's do indeed have well defined genitalia. XD Scarily enough...
As for Vouivre, I have no idea which game it's from. The Great Pascal, however, is from a concept by Kaneko. They opted with Kerberos over Pascal however.. :( I would have preferred this form, and apparently there were enough fans of the design alone to make him a bit of a trademark for the game despite his lack of in-game use. |
