Have you tried contacting pinksandcocaine? Could that be Tony?

His profile is apparently active:

Must be Tony I guess...

Can anyone think of any reason we shouldn't ask him to come back to digitaldevildb.com in some capacity?

Yes it's Tony, thanks for reminding me his name. Despite his gamespot account being active he has long be offline and I sometimes think he doesn't game anymore.

I remember one day he had told me he's giving DigitalDB to someone else for reasons quite undisclosed.

I never got to know why he left digitalDB.

What is a Gamespot Union other than a blog? I know it must represent more?

I have a Gamespot account named "arcnet", but I set it up Armored Core games discussion really. If you just really want to be done with it in a hurry, you can transfer leadership to that account temporarily (I can join the union if necessary)

Or better yet we could wait and see what evolves I suppose.

I am currently in talks with your moderator Emilio regarding the union. We shall see from there on. Thanks for the offer though :)

EDIT: After browsing to some unions I've discovered a new SMT union >> http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/home.php?union_id=PX

You might want to get in contact with them for promotional reasons or establishing an alliance of sorts.

Either way, we here are all about resuscitating a core Megaten community if at all possible. So sure, I really don't have time to do this personally, but anyone who wants to do so on behalf of digitaldevildb.com can if you wanna take over leadership of this blog.

Just put a link to our site in each post from our website (or something) please biggrin

Also we welcome posters from the union to help us out with our blog as always smokin

Seeing as how both sites are blogs, I can't see a way to do this more directly, conflict of interest and all.

PS: Thanks for thanking about us postmortemmt rainbow

It would be lovely to see one of your staff members becoming leader of the union and hopefully it will be used as a beacon to gather more SMT fans and also used for DDdatabase promotions.

I really just wish to leave the smt union in good hands and as I mentioned before. You guys have a goal in which the union can prosper in. Even I'd love to see a large concentration of megami fans instead of splinter groups world wide.

BTW its all free so no strings attached.  All you need is the free basic gamespot account and I'll promote you to leader of the union.

Hey guys,

I just registered on the forum.

My name is Sam Spiteri and I have been the leader of Gamespot's only SMT union.

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/home.php?union_id=SMTUnion

I have been the leader of this union for almost 3 years. Our aim was to deliver any shin megami tensei news, media, articles and anything else to the union's members and any gamespot fans who have stumbled upon the union.

For the past several months the union hasn't been updated as I ended up neglecting it due to other commitments.

I've been trying to find someone to pass on the union to and honestly I cannot think of anyone better than the staff of DDdatabase. I believe you guys can really brighten up the union and also use it to promote smt news and the ddDatabase.

There was a time when the original owner of the DDdatabase was one of our union members. Unfortunately I don't recall his real name but he went by the gamespot username: pinksandcocaine.

Well anyway, hopefully the union shall find a new home with Digital Devil Database :)
