Actually, all three of the Moraie sisters are in P3. Once you get the max Fortune S. Link, you can fuse them together to create Norn.

I really hate to say it, since it makes me feel like I'm inflating my own ego when I do, but I really think I have a strong sense of right and wrong. As such, I really tend to enjoy the Sun, Justice, Temperance, Hierophant, and Chariot arcanas above the others.

If I were to pick one Persona...it's kind of tough to decide between Metatron, Vishnu, Kohryu, and a couple others. But with the "ephemeral" theme to P3 being so significant, I might be slightly inclined to say Kohryu/Huang-Long, as he generally represents the passage of seasons in the Ssu-Ling.
3  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 Fes petition on: October 13, 2007, 03:26:52 AM
Controversial or not, it would be a crime for Atlus NOT to release Fez. I mean...they finally, *FINALLY* have an audience (Or, more accurately,  mainstream attention), for MegaTen, after nearly 10 years of cult success since the first couple Persona games. If they released Fez, they might be able to nail down a larger "permanent" audience in America, which would help both the SMT series AND Atlus' status as a developer...but they still hesitate.

Unless I've missed a direct quote (which is certainly possible, I haven't been able to pay as much attention to this stuff since a new semester of college started), I doubt Mara's appearance is the largest culprit here...I think Atlus is hesitating more because this kind of expansion is pretty rare in American gaming (the only other example I can think of are "Map packs" to FPS games like Halo), so they really don't have a model for it's financial viability.

You know it. ^_^

I played a few hours worth, and it's great. Probably the best RPG of the year.
5  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Opinions on Persona 3's Soundtrack? on: August 16, 2007, 01:15:51 PM
Yeah, I like the direction Meguro took with it. The hip-hop feel really helps set the setting for how young the characters are.

"Mass Destruction", "Battle Hymn of the Soul", and "Burn my Dread" are three crazy good tracks.

The con ended yesterday, and I managed to also get a Bephelgor figure, another Mary...and a Lucifer that was missing a set of wings and it's stand. frown

But all in all, I got some nice stuff. All the MegaTen I've posted, as well as the full series of Boogiepop Phantom, FLCL, Azumanga Daioh, Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars, and the first season of Getbackers.

I also had a great time, even though the panel I really wanted to go to (Occult and Mysticism in Anime) got canceled.xd

That's pretty cool. I didn't know those things had stuff like that... I'm not too big on anime, so I guess I wouldn't know though lol.

It really depends on the con. This year's AI had a HUGE dealer's room, so there was a lot of stuff to be had. But some cons (sometimes even the big ones, from what I hear) don't have as wide a selection.

Also - I saw what I THINK was Megami Tensei II (from the same import video game booth that I got Persona 2 from), but I didn't buy it due to a lack of interest in it's console, as well as how tight my budget was getting. xd

To me...eh, it wasn't that funny.

Besides that, like someone mentioned...the method does have a meaning, and doing a parody of it feels sort of...weird.

Don't hate the playa...hate the game.

Or the referee. The fans? The ball?!

Help me out on this. Kthxbai. xd

Looking in the strategy guide, it looks like there's 55 quests.
11  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Doublejump books guide impressions on: July 27, 2007, 07:39:28 PM
The guide is a bit difficult to navigate, but has pretty much all the info you could ask for.

My biggest gripe is that it shows little thumbnail pictures of Shadows, but not Persona.
12  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: First look at US version artbook, soundtrack, and cover on: July 25, 2007, 01:34:54 AM
Good stuff.

I, for one, am going to be optimistic about this. I am so damn tired of companies making mistakes with their products, then making no effort WHATSOEVER to fix them, treating the customers like cattle.

I've been looking very forward to the artbook and soundtrack...if three weeks wait is the cost of a higher quality product, so be it. The sheer fact that Atlus has the respect for it's customers to take the time and money to fix it's mistakes means they just earned even more trust from me.king

I done found IGN's review here. Pretty good, though it doesn't seem very deep.

We have an entire channel dedicated to Hitler. It's called the History Channel. If we can handle seeing him on TV, we can handle seeing a faux version of him in a game. It's not even really Hitler.

I play a collectible miniatures game called HorrorClix. Recently, someone brought up the idea of figures based on Nazi occultism, and the thread quickly became very heated and controversial. I was one who supported the idea, since Nazi occultism has become a pretty established form of horror, but the thread proves that there would be a lot of people opposed to putting Hitler in a game.

I definitely wouldn't mind it, but I can see the developer's possible concern.
15  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Tokyo 202X / Re: What's your Reason? on: June 15, 2007, 03:10:36 PM
I have to choose Freedom, if only because Yuko (besides being my favorite character) was the only character that I felt to be truly strong. The protagonists friends, Hikawa, hell - even Lucifer...they were all just selfishly altering the world to their own selfish desires.

Only Yuko (and the Demi-Fiend, if you take that path) found the will and conviction to change the world from where she had been before (the "real" world), and only she took other people's freedom and will as a concern.
