Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: Disgaea?

Yeah, Disgaea was a fun game. the only problem I have with it (and all of N1's SRPGs, for that matter) is an over-reliance on levels and statistics instead of sound strategy and tactics.
I'm still going to get Disgaea 2 when it comes out.

Movie: Scooby-Doo 2. (I just got whole bunch on DVDs on sale as part of my "Christmas shopping." Go me!)
Game: Persona 2 (I finally found it! yay! ...and yes, despite my Persona-themed avatar I've never actually played a Persona game before. :P) (*sigh* and I've still got Dragon Quest VIII, Magna Carta, AND Wild Arm: Alter Code F waiting for me after I finish, and I've gotta get back to work on that DDS2 guide as well...) (Too many parenthesis! AAAHHH!)

Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Christmas Time!

Or as my dad so eloquently puts it "Spending too much to buy crap they won't need." So what are you planning to do this christmas? ...and how much time do plan on spending fighting the crowds to buy those gifts? :rambo: Personally I follow the Sally Brown method of gift-giving. Just send money...

Is there any major reason why any of these were changed? I assume just so they could be easily decided between in menus on the fly... It's easier to remember what Null Attack does as opposed to Master Canceller. In my opinion, anyway. There is that, but there is also space constraints to worry about. When each skill name has a six or eight character limit it kind of limits what you can use.(it's not quite as bad as it was in the NES days, when you had names like Blt2 or Hrm... :buh: )

Yeah, but the thought of dressing up like an idiot and spending over two hours out in the cold has kind of lost its appeal over the years.

Yeah, that is annoying when he blocks. I set both Mazionga and Ziodyne (Plus Elec Boost and Amp, of course) and used Mazionga to hit both tentacles at the same time and they went down rather easily, once the Tentacles were gone I then used Ziodyne on the Head. (He can revive the tentacles however...)

Is there any method to get Jack Frost to appear in battle and ask you questions? It happened to me once in the Internment Facility (or whatever) and never again. I answered a few of the questions, but messed up on that Bugaboo one. I don't know why, but I seemed to run into him a lot during my first visit to the EGG. I encountered Jack Frost three times along with four Omoikane battles, and I have yet to see either again after clearing that dungeon. The other question deals with him as well: In the Karma Society Tower, what's with the stuffed animals of him in certain rooms? Do they have any point? Dunno. It's probably just something to make you say "A Jack Frost plushie! Cute!"

When he has those traps set, you're probably best off standing in front of them and waiting for them to disappear. It takes less time than being caught in them and trying to run out. Personally, I've had better success just running all out and not worrying about getting caught in the traps.
