I read about this in an issue of Previews. According to TOKYOPOP (which is a manga publisher I don't even like because most of their translations are low-quality) it's the series that "inspired the videogames." That means it's probably really old. And most of the SMT stuff that's not related to the games winds up being pretty bad.
 I wish they'd release the game-based mangas, like the ones for DDS and Persona, but it's really unlikely.

Chu Chulainn- I love his outfit and design. And the figurine looks pretty awesome, too.
Alice- When she uses "Die For Me!" I can't help but laugh.
Oberon- He looks so adorable, and I like when he spins around when he uses dia. And his midsummer's night attack with Titania surprised me the first time I used it (knocked everyone down).
Orpheus- He hits enemies with a harp, and rocks out when he uses magic. Enough said.
Lucifer- JUST LOOK AT HIM!
Suzaku- It's really pretty.
Shiva & Vishnu- They look awesome in battle.
Jack Frost- Adorable.

I have a question for anyone who has the deluxe edition. Is it even worth it? The only thing that interests me from it is the soundtrack, and I don't think that warrants a big price jump.

 
 I don't believe it comes with a soundtrack. In my copy I got three pins, two cards, a keychain, bonus DVD, and an artbook.

 And I believe the delux is the only version that's being released in the U.S.

What's yours? Mine so far: Jiguko Shoujo I.E Hell girl. That show just kicks ass. Been too long and I wont be whining here anymore. Let's just say streetfights are great stress relief. Oh yeah and here's some of my art:

Speeking of witch: Is it possible to get the loot of rare mobs when your party is split up and somebody else fights one?

 Well, I know that when the characters split they can find and collect treasure and then give it to you. When I was looking for a rare monster, I set it so that the party would defeat all Shadows. But when they fought the rare, it vanished/ran away. So it's good to first send your party to catch the rare, and then just run up and battle it and hope it won't run away.

So far I've only seen one negative review of it, and it was on Amazon.com. A person gave the game one star because they didn't like how the main characters shoot themselves in battle and that it could influence teens to commit suicide.
 But besides that, every other review I've seen by people that played the game were pretty good.

I've played a couple hours of it, and I have to say I really like the game. The only problem I had was that I accidently screwed up my Protagonist's name and during the first week all my characters kept on getting sick.

I just got my copy of P3, and the first thing I did was put on the soundtrack and listen to the whole thing.
 I have to say, I thought it was O.K. It sounded different compared to other Megami-Tensei games. I'm not really into the hip-hop, and I thought some of the English sounded kind of funny. But my favorite songs are definately Aria of the Soul and Kimi No Kioku.
So, I was wondering if anyone else has listened to it, what songs they liked, disliked, or anything else they have to say about it.

Erm. Hello. I decided to join this site after a long time of lurking because I think it's awesome that there's a site full of people that actually know about the Megaten games. I haven't played the games for very long (about a year or so), but it's a series I enjoy playing because of it's originality.

Are there any anime series that you still like and find original and inspiring?

 I bought a boxed set for a series called Planetes and I thought it was absolutely amazing and original. It's about a guy named Hachimaki that works for a company that cleans up space debri. That may sound kind of silly/lame, but it focuses more on Hachi and everyone around him. The anime started off a bit rocky, but it has one of the best endings ever. And the theme song is awesome.

Besides that series, my favorite animes are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Now and Then Here and There, Magic Knight Rayearth, Sailor Moon, Noein, Akira, X/1999, Welcome to the N.H.K., and Genshiken (funniest series EVER). I'm also planning to buy a drama series called Nobody's Boy Remi that came out in the seventies.

Right now I have a DS. It's blue and one of the old chunky versions.
I like it because of all the different types of games that are on it, and that I can also  play my old GBA games like Fire Emblem and Lunar on it.
 I don't think I'm going to get a PSP, but I do like the fact that it has Parappa the Rappa and Darkstalkers. it's just that most of the games on it are pretty low-qual besides some puzzle games and RPG's that are being released on it.

I'm getting my copy later today. It was funny, when I called GS the guy working there actually understood what game I was talking about.
