I don't mind it so far, I watched an Anime called Scrapped Princess that started out REALLY slow--but it picked up big time in the end and I have confidence Trinity Soul will do the same.
If it doesn't, it's not the end of the world or anything!

Quick play through on SMT3? Good luck...
By the way, running from every fight is a death wish in that game. If you ever do decide to pick it up, don't go that route...it's one of the few games where it's smart to go through every encounter just so you're strong enough to take on future enemies and bosses.
Both routes have a lot of pros and cons, I'd do whatever you're most comfortable with.

I didn't mind the DMC Anime at all, and enjoyed it a lot. I actually liked the fact that the monsters were weak--it's not like end-of-the-world baddies show up 24/7. It seemed pretty realistic to me, along with the fact that Dante is just to bad ass for these low level guys. A good filler from DMC 1 to 4.
Current Favorite Anime? I certainly can't think of my ALL TIME favorite...but I did watch Scrapped Princess recently and it turned out pretty good. Starts out slow as hell though. I think I'll start watching Gungrave when I get back to College, but first I hafta finish re-watching Yu Yu Hakusho.

It seems to be going for as much, if not more, than Suikoden 2 on eBay. Though, at least with Shin Megami Tensei 3 you're getting your money's worth. Suikoden 2 is just awful, and totally not worth more than like, $25. I don't advise anyone pay more than $50 for Shin Megami Tensei 3, though. No video game is worth more than that. People on eBay are out of their goddamned minds. Makes me happy that I bought Nocturne when it first came out, I'm just sorry I didn't do the same with DDS 1 & 2. Now I'm looking for a reasonable price, but I'm afraid I'll end up paying through the ears if I don't find it at local game stores. Scratch four so far. =/

I usually DM'd for any table top sessions I ran as well, and the number crunching usually fell onto my shoulders. Eventually I took a lighter approach to most situations and tried to simplify how to execute dramatic actions whatever PC's intended. I found that using the rules as soft guidelines instead made things progress much easier--after all, you're in charge of the world when you're the DM.

I would have to find the article but the people at Atlus are interested in bringing a Tensei to Wii. The info was from a while back so that position may have changed, but Baroque to me seems to point at a possible Megaten Wii game. If it's true, it makes me sad. Personally I think the novelty of the Wii gimmick has worn out already, and I'd hate to see a Megaten game go that way. Unless they decide to skip out on the motion control bit. I suppose it'd be interesting to see what they could come up with if they did do that though.

I'm a big fan of P&P games myself, I've tried creating a few as well but they're lost do dust and such =P
Anyways, what I always found hard to accomplish was creating a sufficient level of depth in character creation which also allows a new player to come along and understand it from the start.
It's really cool to hear someone's making something like this though. I've given it some thought myself plenty of times.
