Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Dragonball Z game brolly problem
|
on: March 28, 2008, 10:27:01 AM

Is it just me, or have the latest Dragonball Z fighting games got Brolly's forms messed up?
the voice always being in Legendary form, i can handle, but whats with his regular super saiya-jin form having blue hair? If you would watch the second Brolly movie, he powers up to regular ssj for a while, and his hair is gold just like everyone else. i know when he starts to lose controll in the first film, he shows a gold aura and his hair goes blue THEN, but if THATS considered ssj, then surely the form Goku takes against Lord Slug should be considered as ssj too.

MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Tokyo 202X / Re: Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

Nocturne was the first megaten game i ever saw, and i loved it. ive been an rpg fan for years, and nocturne was finally a breath of fresh air from all the "nicey nice get a group of friends and save the world from the nasty man!" cliche you get in most of the famous rpgs like final fantasy and dragon quest. To me, megaten is to final fantasy what battlestar gallactica is to star trek. you thought you knew good, then this comes in and shows you just how wrong you are by showing just how gritty and dark the genre can get, and i loved it.
and my favourite demon has to be Kikuri Hime. i always loved her because i got Mediaramafrom fusing her REAL early in the game, so i could heal back to max in one spell. ahhhhh, the memories

MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 UK lack of availability

This is the big problem. its the first megaten game that was given a good place on websites (gamestation and game had it showing on the front page of their website. although avatar tuner 2 was also front page, it was near the bottom, while p3 was at the very top). It was also on the top games coming soon, something which no other megaten UK release has had. with all that, its just so stupid that its not out in shops. it cant be delivery, because i actually got my P3 copy on the thursday, a day before its official release.

MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Persona 3 UK lack of availability

Hey
I didnt notice when it was first released, since i preordered my copy of persona 3 from Game (got the artbook ^_^), but ive noticed that no "mainstream" game store keep Persona 3 in stock. Ive looked in Game, Gamestation, HMV, and all the other places that games can be bought. We had both digital devil saga games in stores, Nocturne, and devil summoner, so why not persona 3? (and by the way, i just mean mainstream stores. im well aware that indipendant game stores stock it).
What the hell is going on?????? are the game stores trying to keep this gem of a game from the english public?

Trigun is my favourite hands down. I love it how you can always tell when someone has watched it from someone who has just looked at pictures. anyone whos watched it will say its got a good story and characters, but anyone who hasnt will say its crap and just full of gunfights, and i do not just make this up, i have tested this theory out and it works

Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition not so special
|
on: February 02, 2008, 06:05:46 PM

Okay, for ages we've been seeing this awesome special edition of DMC4 with a dvd-rom of extras and the first volume of Devil May Cry Animated, which rocks.
Now were past the week mark, what are we seeing? we're not getting that at all. thats just for the japanese fans. We're getting the game in a tin with an artbook ... that already came in digital form in the japanese version. so basically what we're getting is a cut down version of the japanese one, just in a different format to "make up" for it.
i dont know about you guys but this annoys me.
and i know that Japan usually gets the special stuff, but come on, we were given the impression that WE were getting it as well. now this just isnt on

Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: DS or PSP

well ive got both
but in the end of the day ill say this. they're both good at doing what they do. PSP is the big motherload of entertainment and gaming, and the nintendo DS is the fun interactive console. the PSP has on its side 3d gaming, videos, and things youd expect from a media player. the DS has got 2 screens (i know, state the obvious), which allow interactivity into games.
people may say that ones better than the other, but i dont share that oppinion. after all, you could never do, say, metal gear solid portable ops on the DS, but you could never have trauma centre on the PSP. they both do different things. and yes the PSP can do more, but thats why its got a higher price tag, and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I bought this because the art caught my eye and ive got to say i have not been dissapointed so far. its a good game, and i have to say its good because levels actually mean something. When my hero went into a battle at one level he lost, but a level above and he kicked monster ass! i like it when levelling happens like that personally and not when 5 levels have to be raised before anything noticable happens. the art style in game is good and ive got to say its a very fun game. theres even a special dungeon you can go to to raise levels outside of storyline.
however, on the bad points, your levels dont raise strong enough just by playing the story battles. i went from my second battle, which was easy, straight to my third battle, which with my characters still at levels 2 and bellow, was nigh on impossible, and it didnt even tell me that i needed it before i got there. i had to try the level and die before i knew i needed it.
but all in all its a good addictive game.
