Thanks for the GOOD news!!! This make me wonder... Maybe, they are going to use the new story, for the development of Persona 4 for the PS3, is just a foolish supposition, but maybe has a little of sense.

Jun Matsumoto, whose previous works include Digimon and Blood+, is said to be directing. Shigenori Soejima, the artist behind Persona 3's stylized character models, will be designing the characters for the upcoming anime. The anime's story will be headed by Yasuyuki Muto, whose works include Le Chevalier D'Eon. The music is being composed by Taku Iwasaki, known for the anime Read or Die.
PERSONA -trinity soul- is planned for a weekly release and is set to hit televisions in Japan in January 2008. There has been no announcement of an English translation or release."

This is soo excited!!! I sorta speculated there might be an anime coming with Persona 3 but never in my wildest dreams thought it would be for realsies.
EDIT: Also Yay for Live-action movie :) Also I do not know if I like the style of anime that the anime is done it... :S

Well, we have now. I'm sorry about that, but to be honest the site is so far from my main priority right now that things like that just happen. It's far easier to post something quickly on here.

I tried to decipher as much of the online translation I could from the site. It unveils some character information and some other things. Anyone feel free to let me know if I am incorrect about anything there. I wasn't really able to make out a lot of it, particularly the last paragraph.

Sounds like this was the intention from the start. Persona 3 definitely felt more like a mediocre, cliché anime series than an actual Persona game.
It seems Atlus is succumbing to Squaresoft syndrome.
