I just had the bright idea that just maybe after aquiring a hair piece, you can change between the ones you have at anytime, rather than losing the item everytime you change your hair. Otherwise, the hair girl seems redundant, and the prices overly steep.

Has anyone tried hair who could put an end to this speculation?

No, but you can get a preview of the item in the store before purchasing the hairstyle.
