Update 2014: Sorry it took me so long to say so, but being the landing page and all, this forum has been decommissioned for the longest. You can find out what I've been up to ever since/contact me at http://www.patreon.com/swordofmoonlight.

This post is a work in progress. Feel free to comment by appending posts. Major updates will have corresponding posts. Eventually once finalized we can probably file the rules into the bbs help system somewhere.

The new rules here are very simple. They are designed primarily to insure all users who so choose to post shall feel comfortable doing so.

The following rules are an addendum to the boiler plate guidelines you expect from all forums, specifically for now the one copied below. They may supercede the boiler plate guidelines as well, so pay attention.

*There are two basic rules as follow:

--If a user goes out of their way to post helpful information which clearly requires significant effort on their part, they will be rewarded positive karma[1]. Users can notify a helpful post to moderators who can reward said karma at their discretion.

--Mischievous deception and bullying of users in broad terms will be subject to negation of karma. Specifically this means unwelcomed coercion of a user's behavior, or incitement for others to do so. Insults and argument are not necessarily bullying until the offended user has asked that it stop, and the offending party's contribution is no longer of merit -- that is redundant with regards to past commentary.

[1] Karma is a system, along with post counts, which authenticates a user's legitimate involvement within the community. Certain privileges require so much karma and posting. Post number can be equated as karma. Net positive karma grants privileges. Net negative karma cannot take away the rights of users.

*Banning of users is not a function of karma, and should be reserved for users who are security risks. This includes bots and users who like bots intentionally drain website resources, be they technical or social, and do not heed to warning.

*In addition to this there are minimal guidelines regarding posted content and language.

--If you're a minor under the age of 18 then your legal guardian is responsible for your viewing of this forum. In general terms there are no restrictions. However exceptions do exist...
