Persona 3 US Special Edition Info

Friday, March 23rd, 2007 by Tony at www.digitaldevildb.com

It turns out that Gamestop and EB Games have both updated their Persona 3 listings. The pre-order is listed for $49.99 with a ship date of July 24th. It’s worth noting that this about a month later than Atlus has listed before. It remains to be seen which is the correct date.

Of special note is that the game is listed as a “Special Edition”. Both sites claim that, while supplies last, Persona 3 will be packaged with a soundtrack and an official art book. The site seems to imply that this is something Atlus itself is doing based upon the wording. If you’re interested in these items, it’s probably a safe bet to pre-order the game as soon as you are able.

Thanks to Eric for pointing this out to us.

Nirvana Now Archived at Digital Devil Database

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007 by Tony at www.digitaldevildb.com

Those who visit this site are likely familiar with Nirvana, a fan site for the Digital Devil Saga series. Somewhat recently, the owner, Argilla, decided to close down the domain it was hosted at. She has a short post discussing this and the future of her sites at yosuga.net right now.

As such, Nirvana no longer had a home. She brought this up to me and figured the best bet would be to host it here, something I had already offered when it was down once before (although only temporarily).

So, basically, Nirvana is now hosted at this site. It will always be reachable at nirvana.digitaldevildb.com. If you’re looking for more Digital Devil Saga information than is currently provided on this site, Nirvana is really the best place to go. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t already.

I figured I could also mention that if you have a Megaten related site that you’re just not interested in hosting any longer for whatever reason, I’m more than willing to archive it here. Just send me an e-mail. I would make zero changes to it and it would simply be here for informational purposes. I’d hate to see some of the sites out there simply disappear.

.hack //G.U. Vol. 1 Contest Winner

Sunday, March 18th, 2007 by Tony at www.digitaldevildb.com

I used a randomizer to choose between all applicable entrants in the .hack //G.U. Vol. 1 give away. The winner turned out to be Arjuna.

I’ve made attempts to contact Arjuna, but haven’t had much luck yet. If for some reason I continue to be unable to reach the winner after another week or so, I’ll be forced to choose a new one. Stay tuned.

Amazon Marks Down Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner

Monday, March 5th, 2007 by Tony at www.digitaldevildb.com

Amazon usually winds up recommending things to me that I already bought, but on the plus side I can pass the information out to those less fortunate. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner for the PS2 has been marked down from $49.99 to a nice $27.99. It’s unknown how long this price will remain (Amazon is known to put things like this back up to full price quickly), so go for it if you haven’t already.

Coincidentally, you can also pick up the official Double Jump guide for $13.59. Or, just buy both at the same time for $41.58.

Good deal.

Fredric Paul’s article touched off a discussion with some colleagues of mine, who agreed that Google abuses has become careless thanks to its “monopoly” with AdSense by (among other things) callously dropping AdSense participants for alleged click fraud without a reasonable appeals policy. A request for an explanation fell on deaf ears, and my colleague was left with the impression that Google “would have been more likely to work with me,” if it weren’t in such a strong position.
