Maybe I don't have the right email. I have recieved 2 so far. One that just has a link to my email address and the other just takes me to the SMT Imagine site. It could be possible that it doesn't allow free e-mails. I know a lot of things like this usually don't allow Yahoo, Hotmail and so forth. Are you using any of those?
If that's the case, though, I don't know why they'd send you an e-mail at all. You'd think it'd just come up on the page.

You have to click on the green "Download Game Client" button on the Imagine site. Try going to StartGuide from the blue menu bar up top and it should be the second option on the pull down menu. I downloaded the client (after deciding to venture out into the Forest of Frightening Kanji.) but when I try to play I get this error message:
This application failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the program (or should I just reinstall with uninstalling first? o.o; ) several times but I get the same error. Any help would be appreciated.

Tsunehito, that error means you don't have the latest version of direct x, (when I had that problem, I updated direct x and the error was gone.) you can go to microsoft here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Browse.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=2 and download the newest direct x file, (it's an updater,) and you shouldn't get that error anymore, (if you do, try restarting your computer.) There's been some talk about game issues and stuff going on in the gamefaqs boards too if you guys need some more info: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=921999

You guys should post your computer's specs. I want to know if I can even get this running.

Fixed! Works perfectly now--thanks Jesicat! (The Barong avatar kicks ass, by the way. :D ) I should have known I needed an update from the "DIRECT X FEBRUARY 2006" message in the SMTO:I program file list... >.> but I was hurriedly trying to get it to work before my lunch break ended. XD

Cool, thanks. If nothing else, I found an answer to my demon recruiting issue. I'm still not sure how you actually harm a handful of the demons though.
As for my specs, I have a Pentium 4, 1.8 ghz, 512 MBs of RAM. My graphics card is a GeForce 6200.

My specs are a little higher than Tony's and it seems to run fine for me. Might be a tab slow, or that just may be how the game is.
Kakizaki, you should do what you can to get on. It's a fun game.

Yeah, I cannot imagine it really requires that much processing power. In a lot of ways, it's less impressive that World of Warcraft... and that seems to scale to anything.
I'm thinking that I'll make a visual guide for this game on the weekend and put it on the main site. Nothing to the level of a real FAQ, but enough to show people how to sign up, how to create a character and actually login with it and then the basics of combat and recruiting.
I think it would be helpful to have it all in one place and have the accompanying images.

Maybe those of us who are completely lost (-Raises hand- >.>) should implement an in-game buddy system. Pick a time and a channel and hold hands. XD Do you get more experience if you're in a party? If so, that's a bit of an incentive. That, and not having to stand there alone and confused while getting mauled by fairies and kodama...

There's nothing more depressing than being killed by a Kodama.

How about a bunch of Japanese gamers WATCHING you be killed by a kodama?

I don't know. I've had Japanese gamers run up and heal me while I was getting killed by a kodama, so they seem friendly enough. Although, no one seems to talk at all.
One even cast some stat boosting(I think) magic on me.
Anyway, one of my demons died. Does anyone know how to bring it back to life?

Nah, having Japanese gamers watch you get killed by a kodama while wearing no equipment (clothing) is pretty bad XD I didnt realize eventually your clothes and equipment "break" after a while, and you need to take them to stores for them to be repaired (but if you have the starter set you're better off buying new clothes). Since there doesn't appear to be a defence stat, your clothes are your defence. I took over 50 damage from a cait sith (cat in a red hat & cape) while being equipless o.O
I get random healing sometimes too. Maybe it effects your alignment o.O ...okay, probably not, lol. As for reviving, you need to use a ring-shaped item to bring demons back to life. You can buy them in the pharmacy at 3rd base (store with a "+" on the front), and sometimes wild kodamas drop them. To use the item, double-click on it first from you inventory and your character should glow. next, summon your dead demon beside you (if it isnt already) and double click on them to bring them back to life. DO NOT try to drag the item directly onto your demon. You'll just throw that item away *learned that the hard way* XD I could make some screenshots of it if you really need them :3 (sorry for the long post ^^;)

Wait, what? I thought people were being nice and healing me...

I keep seeing people say this, but whenever I go into the pharmacy they don't have any. I buy them at the small outpost in the northern section of Suginami.
Also, you can put any item on your hot key bar and just use it that way. If you hit the arrow keys up and down you can switch to more hot key bars, so you don't have to worry about running out of space.
