Personally, I recommend finishing Nocturne first. Especially if you're new to the series. Makes jumping into DDS' battle system a lot easier.
Yeah you're right, and what about Digital Devil Saga 1, is there a concrete difference between it and Digital Devil Saga 2?

The battle system is easier to deal with DDS than it is in Nocturne...

Considering that the battle system is easier to get the hang of in DDS, then the entire game is easier than SMT3, since an RPG's difficulty is determined by its battle system. DDS is also much more linear.
Forget learn to read. Learn to think.

These games are getting expensive. I did luck out and found Digital Devil Saga 2 for 30 new at a gamestop. Now to find 1...:p, I was keeping my eye on a DDS 1 that was going for 20 with 6 or 7 bids on it, but it quickly shot up in price=/.

Wow. I called about 20 or so gamestops (spanning from 90 miles away as I was curious to see if any had it) and NONE of them had it. I found one shop that had DDS2, that's it. And they all, always said "Yes, (pause for me to take a sigh of relief) we have Devil Summoner." Only for me to correct them, when I said it clearly (and two times) before.

I can't find a place to buy Avatar Tuner 1. And Avatar Tuner 2 it was really much expensive than other games that I have buy. But what I been looking is that Avatar Tuner 2 is much cheapper than Avatar Tuner 1, and I dont know why this happend? Maybe DDS 2 is not as good as DDS 1?

Being the most important can't be seen in the eyes |
I don't know why they didn't just wait and release the games bundled together but...
I paid a grand total of 40 or so dollars for both games imported. Two (Japanese region) cost me $18.50 from Play-Asia, it was like $20 for the first one and this was shortly before and after their American releases, respectively.
I've seen a few American copies here and there and generally they are somewhat expensive, but it's comparable to any role-playing game really. I guess it's not really that strange that console RPGs, as a generally unpopular genre, are more expensive than other console games.

I got my version of DDS1 for about £50 off eBay (about $90 I think) and spent about £40 on the second. I spent about £100 ($180-ish) on both games and both came brand new. Which isn't bad.
Suprisingly, lately I've seen the DDS' now very cheap around shops (£15!) so I guess they aren't selling massively well in the UK. Atlus keep saying how their sales in Europe are pretty good though. I think Lucifer's Call was the first MT game released over here (I could be mistaken, but no Persona/Demi-Kids/Devil Summoner etc have been seen over here).
For me, online is nearly always better than shops. I was rather annoyed when I got my (massively glitchy) From The New World off eBay for £25 and then saw it Gamestation for £20. Dammit.
