Our section for http://www.digitaldevildb.com/games/persona/">Revelations: Persona is now working properly. It contains the same information (and wallpapers) as it did on the last version of the site, so see this more as a catch-up moment than anything. If you have information you think should be added or expanded upon for the title, please feel free to contact us.
Most importantly, I'm looking for screens of the game... preferably without site logos on them. If you happen to have some you've taken yourself and you'd like to share them, it would definitely be appreciated.

The U.S. release date is incorrect. I am guessing someone might have pulled that from Gamefaqs. I picked up my copy at release at a Software Etc in December of '96 -- I paid about $65 for it and still have the receipt somewhere. I played it through the entirety of my Christmas vacation.

Boy, that place was expensive. You know, my copy is stored somewhere... what is the date on the back of it? I'm sure that'd verify the 1996 release.

The back of the box does say 1996.
Snes games were ridiculously overpriced as well. I remember finding a receipt for Breath of Fire II and being totally shocked by how much it cost( I think it was $75 or $80?).

Software Etc and GS, at least in my area, were still charging an average of at least $5 over retail as recently as 2002/2003.
SNES and all cartridge based games during the 16 bit era were expensive in general. As a kid, I paid about $72 for Revenge of Shinobi for Genesis at its release.
It could always be worse. Games are much more expensive on average in Japan.

Well, yeah, I remember cartridge games being more, but I don't recall ever paying that much for a game on PlayStation.
In any case, I'll change the date to 1996... that's kind of surprising because if the Japanese version did, in fact, come out in September of that year there wasn't much space between the two releases.

^It wouldn't have been that expensive if I could have found it at the EB located in the same mall, but they were sold out at the time. I believe they were charging $49.99 for it. I was pretty much broke, but I would have paid nearly anything to get copy. I had just read a great preview of Persona a month earlier in the November 96 issue of Gamefan.

If I could get the PSX emulator working on my computer, I'll try to take some screenshots, for some reason the SVC capture program on my PSP won't let me take screens while I'm playing PSX games. :\

Stuff. Anything is fine by me as I don't have any nice shots of the game at all. I really appreciate it :).

Here are all the screenshots I've taken up to the point where you first summon your Persona. I would've posted them earlier, but my old video card got fried somehow, and I just replaced it yesterday. If you need more, just ask.

You don't have one at all? Wow lol.

If you find yourself playing it more, I certainly won't say no... but definitely don't go out of your way for it.
I really appreciate the help.
