Pure West Films presents Second Skin, a documentary about virtual worlds and the gamers who play them. It's just been completed and is in the final round of SXSW (they're saying it has an extremely good chance of getting in- official announcement Feb 5th) where it might premiere. The filmmakers are in talks with HBO and The Sundance Channel about distribution, and are waiting to talk to theatrical distribution companies at the festival.

Just by watching that trailer,I found it really interesting.
Not a fan of WoW,but it is a well known and very popular MMO,so it makes sense to pick that one.

But there was another game that wasn't WoW that was featured there as well - the art style was different from WoW.
I'm interested to see how this documentary develops... as an ex-player of WoW and still a current player of some MMORPG's.

I'm too afraid to even start, I don't want to get addicted. Plus I didn't like paying the monthly fees, I bought Guild Wars for $10 and played it for a bit, but I haven't become addicted to it yet.

SECOND SKIN HAS MADE IT INTO SXSW, AND IS SCHEDULED FOR OPENING NIGHT!
In addition to that the Austin, TX division of BioWare (best known for Mass Effect) is planning on attending the premiere!
As is NCSoft (City of Heroes; City of Villains; Guild Wars; Lineage; Tabula Rasa)!
