So much for the would be "anti jrpg bias" that X-Play is constantly accused of. Now, I will say, I don't watch their reviews for accuracy (I got GT for that), but it isn't like they suck nuts or anything.

It's like Bully set in Japan
Roguelike dungeons
Tons of new Personas
Quests and stories
Cons:
The music is still really embarrassing
Turn-based dungeon crawls can get old
Uneven voice acting

They got a lot of heat for their Crisis Core Review, I think Morgan Webb even admitted that they were being bias in a re-review.

Yeah,why I never cared for what xplay has to say.I only listen to Play magazine or gametrailers.com.
Basically with xplay,and I quote my friend on this,with them they see it this way:
"It's not from Microsoft so we don't care".

To be fair the vast majority of VG review sources have become increasingly biased over the years, possibly for pseudo-political reasons.

Why does a review for FES matter? You essentially know what it's going to be before you play it. Why listen to any reviewer for that matter?

I couldn't watch that show when I used to without them pulling out some halo or gears of war crap on me and when that wasn't coming out then it was final fantasy. I make my own choices when it came to the games I played.

I really like Xplay. But I've a ton of their shows backed up in my dvr for weeks. I'll probably have to delete them eventually, though I try to use it to keep up on the games to some extent.
Any show that says ok, all these games are shit, and be remotely funny along the way is all spades in my book. Cause they're pretty much right on. The reviews I find are generally very realistic as a game developer/jaded enthusiast. Most of all it's the least painful way in town to keep in touch with a failing industry.
Xplay did crown one of the PS2 Megaten games rpg of the year a while back. Must've been an especially shitty year for rpgs ?p
PS: if not for the humor it would be a depressing show about one shitty game after another ad infinitum...

Yes, I have. It's a fairly fun sandbox-ish game but comparing it to Persona 3 is like comparing Shin Megami Tensei to Snatcher.
