We've known about Amada and Koromaru for a while now, both were in the original trailer (Jokingly, people asked if the dog would be a Persona user. Crap).
I'm actually hoping the full cast of Persona using allies will be around the same size as P1, actually.

This week's Famitsu is supposed to reveal a new character. Keep your eyes open for scans~
The characters are Aegis and Muffler. I'll give you one guess who Aegis is. Her Persona is Palladion. She's an anti-shadow weapon. She doesn't quite understand human emotions like love. Oh god I'm going to hate this character.

I originally found the scans on Jeux-France, as usual... but looking at them I only see stuff about Aegis. Who is this Muffler character?
Also, is there some way to get these delivered elsewhere? I guess I could try eBay or something, but I'd like to be able to do my own clearer scans honestly.

Unfortunately, Japanese BBS's are not as reliable as I would have liked. The one I was looking at didn't say that Roboko and Muffler were just nicknames, and I didn't exactly look at the character pages of their source (because I got sidetracked by the other information on the website)...
Muffler is the nickname from this site given to the character standing next to Aegis on the official website's character page. Apparently, the BBS I was looking at was expecting Muffler to be revealed, but he was not.
Also, this is somewhat interesting. Its talking about the preorder bonus, which will be a digital media cd. It will include, among other things, some wallpapers, a screensaver, the opening theme song (Burn My Dread. OH ENGRISH), and voice clips... the interesting part is that the last voice actor is listed as "Secret Character" ... what this means is unclear. It could just be that this voice actor is for a character that has yet to be revealed, or it may actually be a secret, optional character. That voice actor was also responsible for the voice acting of the main character in Persona 1's Drama CD, for what its worth.

Yeah, I came across all of that earlier thanks to blog.yam.com/dds. I never do anything with the voice clips on CDs I get, but I wouldn't mind the wallpapers. I think the page said there was like 16 of them... but that's just from my memory.

The story sounds interesting, and it would be nice to play an RPG set in modern Japan - the only game that has ever done that is Lucifer's Call, and it was totally refreshing!

Are you looking strictly at the UK eBay? Most US sellers for games I come across are willing to ship worldwide. Persona 2 was fairly common there for a while after that re-printing happened. Maybe it's not anymore though... I've not checked in quite a while.
Hopefully Atlus will work with some company to get a PAL release of the title. I was glad to see Nocturne and DDS came out there, although DDS2 seems to be getting pushed back constantly.
