Wow... don't check this place in a while, then when I come back there's a ton of new stuff on the game. o_o
Does anybody know what the online game is like? I could probably never play with my (extremely) limited Japanese knowledge, but it sounds interesting.

Are you looking strictly at the UK eBay? Most US sellers for games I come across are willing to ship worldwide. Persona 2 was fairly common there for a while after that re-printing happened. Maybe it's not anymore though... I've not checked in quite a while.
Hopefully Atlus will work with some company to get a PAL release of the title. I was glad to see Nocturne and DDS came out there, although DDS2 seems to be getting pushed back constantly.
There are quite a few international sellers for Persona 2 (I've just this minute checked) so it's all good....til I get some much needed money anyway. The original is being sold in £ here in Britain as well - I just hope they hold on til I have the funds....
There's no news of DDS2 coming out yet. I guess Atlus will decide whether to release it or not depending on how DDS1 does. It would be pretty silly to only release half a game, but it happened with Xenosaga....
Thankfully, I have both DDS's on American import. Those games rock hard.

Is there any reference to what Gin is carrying in that suitcase? I assume more bombs or something.
And as for the girl, are people in general agreeing upon the name Chidori or Plover? Personally, I prefer the former.

Its either more bombs, or a computer. For data gathering. And stuff like that.
As far as her name, I've only seen it as Chidori. It isn't written in kanji, so I don't think they intended for people to write her name as "Plover" in English... Is anyone referring to Gin as "Silver"?

So the game is out in Japan. Sold about 116,000 copies or so in the first three days it was on sale. Not so bad, really. I think some have a kind of exaggerated idea of how well general Megaten related games sell in Japan anyway... certainly never on FF/DQ levels.
Anyway, did anyone here get an import of it? I have one on the way thanks to a friend, although I know I won't be able to understand it. Still, I guess I can grab some movies and better understand some of the actual gameplay components.

So, roughly fifty hours of game-play are spent inside of a school... Doing school things. ...In a school. Riveting. >.>; Would I buy it? Psh! Psh...yes. Am I going to complain? Of course! Will I habitually cut classes? Definately.
I must say I'm more than a little disappointed that Kaneko wasn't Art Director... -Worships shrine dedicated to him- ...I sacrifice these twelve goats and a chicken to you, Almighty One!

Yeah...but a good part of that is pretty much a dating sim. ^_^
Anyway- I'm really hoping Persona 3 stirs up a little publicity with it's content...maybe get a little more publicity for the series. But I think that's a lost cause, since even the Digital Devil Saga games went overlooked in that regard.
